macOS Installation
Download the DMG
Download IrukaDark.dmg from the Downloads page. Choose the correct version for your chip (Apple Silicon or Intel).
Install the App
Open the DMG file and drag IrukaDark to your Applications folder.
Grant Permissions
On first launch, macOS will ask for the following permissions:
- Screen Recording — Required for screenshot explanations
- Accessibility — Required for text selection and automation
- Microphone — Required for voice input and AI notetaker
Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and enable all permissions for IrukaDark.
Launch IrukaDark
Open IrukaDark from your Applications folder. You'll see the IrukaDark icon appear in your menu bar.
If you see an Accessibility error after updating, the helper binary (IrukaAutomation) may have had its permission invalidated. Fix: go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility, remove IrukaDark, re-add it, and restart the app.
Windows Installation
Download the Installer
Download IrukaDark-Setup.exe from the Downloads page.
Run the Installer
Double-click the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.
Launch IrukaDark
IrukaDark will start automatically after installation. Look for the icon in your system tray.
Some features like Window Control shortcuts are currently macOS-only. Windows uses slightly different default shortcuts — for example, Alt+Shift+Space to toggle the main window instead of Option+Space.
Verifying Installation
After installation, press Option+Space (macOS) or Alt+Shift+Space (Windows) to toggle the IrukaDark main window. If the window appears, you're all set!
Try your first shortcut: select any text on your screen and press Option+A (macOS) or Alt+A (Windows) to get an instant AI explanation.
