Clipboard Manager

IrukaDark's clipboard features are available in two places: the Clipboard Popup for quick access, and the Main Window for full management.

Recommended workflow: Set up your snippets and folders in the Main Window, then use the Clipboard Popup shortcut (Cmd+Shift+V / Alt+V) during your daily work for instant paste access — no need to leave your current app.

Clipboard Popup

Press Cmd+Shift+V (macOS) or Alt+V (Windows) to open the Clipboard Popup — a compact floating window for quick paste access.

Three Tabs

Switch between tabs by pressing Tab or hovering over a tab header (switches automatically after 300ms).

  • Text History — Browse recent text copies (up to 1,000 items). Click any item to paste it immediately into the active app. Color codes (HEX, RGB/RGBA, HSL/HSLA) are automatically detected and displayed with a color swatch.
  • Image History — Browse recent image copies (up to 30 items). Thumbnails are shown for preview; clicking pastes the full-quality original image.
  • Snippets — Browse saved snippets organized in folders. Click to paste. Folder hierarchy is displayed with expand/collapse navigation.
  • One-click paste — Click any item to paste directly into the app you were working in
  • Search — Filter items by text content
  • Persistent history — Both text and image history are saved across sessions
  • Keyboard navigation — Tab cycles between tabs, Escape closes the popup

Clipboard monitoring starts when IrukaDark launches. Items copied before the app was running are not captured.

Main Window

The main IrukaDark window provides full clipboard management with features not available in the popup.

History Tab

  • Search with highlighting — Search your clipboard history with a dropdown showing matching results. Selecting a result scrolls to and highlights the item.
  • Copy button — Each item has an explicit copy button with visual feedback (green checkmark)
  • Lazy-loaded images — Images load only when scrolled into view for better performance
  • Color code detection — Inline color swatches for HEX and RGB values

Snippet Tab

Full snippet management with creation, editing, and organization:

  • Create snippets — Add new text or image snippets via the context menu or folder actions
  • Inline editing — Double-click a snippet to edit its name and content directly
  • Folder management — Create, rename, and delete folders. Nest folders for hierarchical organization.
  • Drag & drop — Reorder snippets and folders by dragging. Move snippets between folders with visual drop-target feedback.
  • Image snippets — Save images as snippets with auto-generated thumbnails
  • Search — Filter snippets by name and content. Results show folder path for context.

Import & Export (Settings)

Manage snippet data from Settings:

  • Export — Save all snippets and folders as a JSON file for backup or sharing
  • Import — Load snippets from a previously exported file
    • Merge — Add imported snippets to your existing library
    • Replace — Clear all current snippets and replace with imported data
  • Progress indicator — Shows import progress with a percentage bar

The popup is designed for speed — quick paste while working in another app. The main window is for organizing — creating, editing, and managing your snippet library.
