Moving IrukaDark for Windows to the Microsoft Store version

Future updates for IrukaDark for Windows will be delivered through the Microsoft Store version. If you use the legacy Windows app, install the Microsoft Store version and launch it once.

On first launch, the Microsoft Store version automatically organizes settings, clipboard history, snippets, images, templates, and Notetaker recordings into the new storage layout. Memos and other data stored in the same user data area are also carried over. Existing Microsoft Store data is not overwritten.

Migration steps

  1. In the migration window shown by the legacy Windows app, save a backup ZIP if you want a local copy.
  2. Fully quit the legacy Windows app. If it is running in the task tray, quit it there as well.
  3. Install the Microsoft Store version from the button above.
  4. Launch the Microsoft Store version once. Local data is migrated automatically during startup.
  5. If you are asked to sign in, log in again.

Both the legacy Windows app and the Microsoft Store version use data under %APPDATA%\IrukaDark. You do not need to copy this folder manually, but do not delete it.

After you confirm your data in the Microsoft Store version, you can uninstall the legacy Windows app if needed. If Windows asks whether to delete app data during uninstall, do not delete it.

After you launch the Microsoft Store version once, future updates will be handled through Microsoft Store.
